Nancy Wenstrom


Nancy Wenstrom is a dynamic blues guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter hailing from the vibrant San Francisco Bay Area. With over 40 years of experience, she stands as a respected veteran in the rock music scene and a trailblazer for women guitarists. Her remarkable talent and passion shine through in every performance, making her a true original among rockin’ blues performers. Nancy Currently plays with her band Nancy Wenstrom & The Restless Girls. She also can be seen playing with various bands including, Jean Fineberg's Jazzphoria, The Party Monsters, Wild Women of the 60's, (Pamela Rose), Zazu Pitts Memorial Orchestra, The Apollo Duo (Brad Catania/trumpet), as well as others. She has composed music for other's people's albums and projects, such as Marty Balin's Rock Justice, and for Darryl Guzman's Christmas concerts at CPC for over 15 years. She has played numerous concerts, toured, played night clubs, hotels and private functions as well as playing for various musicals in the Bay Area.
She has 9 independent albums of her original music and has worked as a studio musician on countless other projects. She is a well respected veteran of the San Francisco music scene and has played with many famous people out of the Bay Area over the years.
Nancy was born in Houston Texas, and grew up as an “Air Force brat” living in the Azores, Nebraska, California, Washington D.C. and Alabama before moving to the San Francisco Bay Area where she now resides. She started learning piano at age 8 and guitar at 12 and has her bachelors degree in music from the University of California at Berkeley.
