Blues Kitchen has been chosen to play in the IBC (International Blues Challenge) by The Golden Gate Blues Society. The first round is being held Sunday July 17 @ 1:00 – 4:00 at the Poor House Bistro in San Jose.  Come and show your support for the band and enjoy some great Cajun food at this very fun New Orleans style bistro.  We need your help as we try to make our way to the Bay Area finals in November and then hopefully on to the nationals held in Memphis (Sarah Baker’s hometown) in Feb 2012.  Please see our calendar for more details.  Hope to see there for this fun and exciting event.  All three great bands that day will give you your money’s worth!

Nancy and Blues Kitchen will be performing at the beautifully renovated Club Fox (next to Fox Theater) in Redwood City for one night only on Saturday Feb. 26.  We have the pleasure of opening for Aja Vu, the acclaimed Steely Dan tribute band.  This will be a great show and we are excited about playing this wonderful club as well as opening for Aja Vu, a great musical tribute to one of the best jazz/rock bands ever.  Please come early as we are playing one show only at 8:00 PM and this will be a full house!  Hope to see you there.

The fabulous Sarah Baker has teamed up with Nancy to add her wonderful Memphis sound to the band.  Her funky keyboards and strong soulful vocals are the perfect match to spice up Blues Kitchen’s  sound and add another dimension to the band.  She’s a Bay Area favorite for years and has played with the best.  Come check us out now!
